A little about me...
I'm a full-time K-4 Reading Specialist teaching in a public school with a large Hispanic population. I've also been married for 26 years and have 2 college-age kids.
I have a Master's of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction and hold a K-12 Reading License. Prior to becoming a Reading Specialist, I taught 3rd grade for 16 years and Kindergarten for 1 year. I am Level 3 Orton-Gillingham certified- so you know I LOVE teaching foundational skills! I use and teach hands-on reading strategies everyday and find myself as a reading tutor during the summer.
I've always loved creating resources for my students, but really moved ahead "full steam" a couple of years ago when I was teaching part-time and found it necessary to create many of the resources I needed in my position. That's where my journey with TpT and Teacher's Notebook began. I had discovered the best creative outlet and I was hooked!
My motto is "Making Learning Fun", and there is no better compliment than having a student ask me, "Aren't we going to do any work today?" That's when I know I've been successful!

Hi there, I just came across your Pinterest "Spelling, Phonics, and Word Work" board, and I'd love to be added as a contributor. I'm a 1st grade teacher with a high ESOL population myself. I'm a new seller on TPT, and that's actually why I've made a lot of my resources Bilingual (English/Spanish). I have a few freebies and products that I'd love to share if you'd be kind enough to add me as a contributor to your Pinterest board. My pinterest URL is: https://www.pinterest.com/fun_learning/
